The VIP 1000 is an enhanced talking thermostat for the blind and visually impaired (VIP means Visually Impaired Programmable).

The VIP 1000 comes in a kit for and includes a special set of client instructions in large text printed format and on a floppy disk. The floppy disk can be used with a computer "text to speech" program so the client can listen to it. (A free text to speech program is available for download at www.readplease.com). A cassette version is currently under production and will be available shortly
